Christian Meyer-Landrut is a freelance architect and has been running an architectural office in Weimar since 1997 focussing on industrial buildings. Apart from his professional work as a self-employed architect, his voluntary commitments are essential to him: In 2021, he was made a Knight of St. John as an honorary board member of the Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe (Order of the St. John Ambulance Service).
